The last couple of weekends have been a mixture of relaxing weekends and busy busy kind of weekends. Part of my monthly goals includes “me-time” which can be anything from doing nothing to spa weekend. I truly believe that “me-time” should be on everyone’s to-do list regardless of your situation.

For parents it’s a little different but I feel you guys need it more and so aim for it more often. My mother says when she is happy and relaxed the dragon is sated and it’s a happy life. But I know everyone’s life is different and I am not a parent so can’t give people advice on that.

During the month of July we managed to drive down south to Somerset where we had a gathering. The weather wasn’t perfect in the slightest but it was perfect for relaxing with friends and family. I made it my mission to ensure I packed in some relaxing time whilst down south. It wasn’t easy because it was a go-go kind of weekend but it’s such an environment that I aim to have inner peace. To have a relaxing weekend it doesn’t have to be when it’s all quite, learn to find inner peace in all situations.

Working 9-5 it can get busy and pretty hectic sometimes and most of it is not even physical but mentally. You’re always trying to put on a brace face for everyone but mentally you’re shuttered. I try to have atleast one day during the week where I practice me time. Sometimes it’s between finishing work at 5 and going to the gym at 8, that’s my slot to relax. It doesn’t always work because work follows me home (blogging) but I always try to have a relaxing day.

As we start this new week, we don’t know what it holds but practice inner peace and have “me-time”. And it doesn’t have to be for hours, 15-20 minutes is enough to just focus on you and the good things in your life. Have a lovely week y’all, here is to an awesome new week.
