Presenter and TV chef Lisa Faulkner has joined forces with BRITA to launch the Better with BRITA food and drink campaign, designed to draw attention to how much we use water as an ingredient in our cooking, and how using BRITA filtered water results in better tasting food and drink.
Tap water contains chlorine, limescale and other impurities which can affect they way our meals and drinks taste, but simply using a BRITA filter reduces these impurities allowing the flavour of your ingredients to really come through and ensure you get the best results in your kitchen.
What is the blogging assignment?
We are looking for food and drink bloggers to embrace the Better with BRITA campaign, and to start using BRITA filtered water with their food and drink.
We would like the successful bloggers to have a go at cooking one of Lisa’s recipes and also share ideas of their own for recipes that use water as a key ingredient. We will provide the key imagery for the participant to use and an image of their own. This could be an image of their finished dish.
Participants could also demonstrate the benefits of BRITA filtered water by posting about the BRITA tea test. This simply entails making two cups of tea, one using BRITA filtered water and one using unfiltered. This should be done using glass mugs or cups and without milk. The natural flavours develop much better if BRITA filtered water is used. The tea gleams clearly, is a lovely colour and is free from murky scum. These visual improvements can be shared on the blog by posting an image of the two mugs of tea, side by side.
For all this to happen, we will send the participating bloggers a BRITA Marella jug and a copy of Lisa’s recipes so they can start using BRITA filtered water in their cooking straight away.
