Brand or business name:
The New Zealand Honey Shop
Please tell us about the product or company you would like the bloggers help with?
Manuka Honey has just been in the news with a Sunday Times article showing that there has been potential huge fraud on consumers with more ‘sold’ in the UK than what is actually produced each year. It highlights that genuine Manuka honey has a unique additional non-peroxide activity, but that many products sold in shops do not contain this.
The New Zealand Honey Shop are established UK experts in Manuka honey, operating for almost 10 years, and are the home of honestly labeled products.
What is the blogging assignment?
We are looking for interested bloggers, especially those who may have taken Manuka honey themselves at any time, to help inform consumers and provide correct information so that people can distinguish the correct quality Manuka honeys from the problem ones.
The idea is to empower consumers so that they do not get caught purchasing expensive items that are not what they are expecting per the Sunday Times investigation.
We are looking to work with bloggers in a number of ways. We can provide copies of the Sunday Times article, and a similar one that has been in the New Zealand papers, and provide the correct information and core points that all consumers should be aware of. A ‘Know Your Manuka Honey’ leaflet is also available.
Whether you have used Manuka honey yourself or not, or just are someone who believes in consumer rights and fair play to people, please reply to this assignment as we are looking for assistance to let people be properly informed.
What type of blogs are you looking for?
Possible for any blogs in this case.
Would especially suit those with a health, food, or consumer rights angle. And any bloggers who were aghast at the horse meat scandal and believe in better honesty in products sold.
Preferred geographic location of the blogger:
How might you compensate the blogger?
How else might you compensate the blogger?
There is no product to review in this case, nor specific payment. We are looking for assistance in correctly informing your readers.
However all bloggers who take on the assignment will go into a draw to win a large jar of genuine UMF15+ manuka honey (worth almost £30).
Then on a case by case basis and depending on the blog, their audience, and what you are able to post, there may be options of a reader offer for particular products, or competition draws for your readers.
