About my blog:
A Lifestyle & parenting blog covering a range of topics and posts from product reviews, days out, recipes, crafts, mental health & more.
My main blogging category is:
How and why did you get into blogging:
I originally started blogging back in 2011 as a place to vent & quickly fell in love with sharing our daily lives & product reviews. Having stopped blogging for 2 years I came back missing all of these things & the sense of community.
Where do you get your writing inspiration from?
Absolutely anywhere, sometimes conversations or events that have happened, products I’ve fallen in love with etc.
If you could offer some words of encouragement to a newbie or frustrated blogger, what would they be?
Just keep going. Numbers aren’t everything, you can feel a sense of achievement simply hitting publish on a post you know will help at least 1 person.
What has changed most about blogging culture/the blogging industry since you started?
People are stepping out of their niches more and I think that’s a good thing.
What daily tools and platforms do you use in your blogging routine, for research, promotion, sharing and other:
Canva helps me create title images & featured images easily and quickly with a drag and drop editor. I love YouGov for statistics, they gather a lot of data on a wide range of subjects. Twitter, Facebook & Pinterest are fantastic for sharing posts and getting interaction up.
Tell us about your greatest blogging achievement to date?
I’ve won several blogging competitions including £100 John Lewis for creating an Oreo hunt post & £100 Sports Direct for creating a gift guide.
Where do you hope blogging will take you in the future?
I hope my blog will always be somewhere I feel I can honestly vent, share products we love, document days out, crafts etc. Anything else is a bonus :)
