About my blog:
My blog is a parenting and lifestyle blog with a bit of a health journey thrown in the mix! I blog about my thoughts, recipes, days out and anything else that may happen during my housewife/home studying days.
My main blogging category is:
How and why did you get into blogging:
I first had a blog when I was a teenager and used it to express my thoughts and opinions of products and life experiences at such a young age. I ended up just losing the spark for it though, as any teenager goes through phases with things.
Now, being a housewife, mummy of 2 and studying from home, I feel like it’s a great release for me (again) and also to just share my parenting tips/choices, outings, product reviews and more with the world because you never know who you might end up helping!
Where do you get your writing inspiration from?
My greatest inspiration for writing is my family really, but it all depends on what’s going on in my head. Being such an over-thinker sometimes and being eep in thought, I feel like that also encourages and pushes myself to write.
If you could offer some words of encouragement to a newbie or frustrated blogger, what would they be?
My words of encouragement would definitely be to just write about what you want to write about. Don’t ever doubt yourself and don’t compare yourself to other bloggers! I always used to compare myself to others when I first had a blog years ago, I think that’s partly why I stopped blogging. Now, I know that everyone has their own way of wording things and their own style of writing, so just keep at it!
What has changed most about blogging culture/the blogging industry since you started?
I feel like if I had stuck to my first ever blog this question would yield so many answers as the blogging community is so much bigger now and it’s much more common to hear about than it was over 10years ago! But now I can see that the blogging community does appear a lot friendlier now and its very much a community of people as opposed to people thinking they’re better than others.
What daily tools and platforms do you use in your blogging routine, for research, promotion, sharing and other:
My daily tools would be using social media platforms to self-promote, be it my YouTube channel or my blog. I tend to use Canva for my social headers, logos and YouTue thumbnails but I don’t use anything to actually edit my photos unless it’s an Instagram filter just to lighten things up a bit!
Tell us about your greatest blogging achievement to date?
My greatest blogging achievement to date would be that my post about my daughters DDH (hip dysplasia) got my total number of post views so far and that’s the one main thing that I wanted people to see, read and learn about as it’s not commonly heard of when it should be.
Where do you hope blogging will take you in the future?
I hope that blogging will just keep me sane rom the busy life I often have and if I ever can gain rewards from doing something I enjoy and love, then I’ll be happy with that too!
