How and why did you get into blogging:
I had watched YouTube makeup tutorials for years and figured that I would love to give it a go. I promised myself that I would start a blog to ease myself into the social media world and I never left. I’m still yet to start a YouTube channel.
Where do you get your writing inspiration from?
Products I’ve used or experiences I have had.
If you could offer some words of encouragement to a newbie or frustrated blogger, what would they be?
Take your time, be true to yourself and don’t be afraid to break the mould.
What has changed most about blogging culture/the blogging industry since you started?
‘influencers’ are much more popular than when I started blogging in 2014. I think it’s much harder to get noticed these days.
What daily tools and platforms do you use in your blogging routine, for research, promotion, sharing and other:
I use Google for lots of my research as well as personal experience. For promo, I use hash tags on Twitter for retweets. I also try to collaborate with other bloggers as much as much as possible to enable my content to reach a broader audience. I use Facetune on my pics.. Its a great editor. As well as Twitter, I also use Instagram.
Tell us about your greatest blogging achievement to date?
What I class as a blogging achievement may be minor but I try and get myself noticed daily.. Even by using hash tags and grabbing the attentions of brands that I love. However, I have been able to grown my business as a Face and Body Makeup Artists via my blog which has enabled me to grab stalls at various festivals in 2019 which I’m very proud of.
Where do you hope blogging will take you in the future?
I’d love to become a recognised name but I believe that I would need to have a YouTube channel to do this or maybe launch my own product line.
