About my blog:
I launched Caffeine and Conquer in February 2018 as a lifestyle blog. My focus is on personal growth and monetizing your passion online! I’m building a community and connecting with women all over the world who are interested in being their best self and turning their blog into income.

How and why did you get into blogging:
At the beginning of 2018, I found myself in a personal crisis and left my job to focus on my wellbeing. I’ve dealt with mental health issues and have off and on for the last 7 years, so I decided to launch a blog to keep myself busy during this time. I was really enjoying writing and started to learn more about blogging. I found out that people are actually making money online through their websites and other freelance work. I haven’t lost my drive or motivation since!
In April 2018 I decided to change my career plans and have been pursuing building my brand online now. I’m excited to see what 2019 brings.
Where do you get your writing inspiration from?
I’m a sponge for self-help books and woo-woo. I love to learn how to better myself and be the best version of myself. I translate that passion into my writing. As I explore topics and experiment with their advice, I share that on my blog! The same goes for my blogging tips. As I grow in the blogging industry I share my success and how I did it with my readers.
If you could offer some words of encouragement to a newbie or frustrated blogger, what would they be?
The numbers aren’t important! Don’t get frustrated with your statistics. Have fun writing and be yourself. Connect with people and they will become your best friends and loyal customers.
Also, Pinterest is your best friend. It’s really easy to learn about blogging by searching pins. That’s how I got started.
What has changed most about blogging culture/the blogging industry since you started?
Considering I have been blogging for 9 months, I have made some real connections online with other bloggers. It’s a large and friendly community that makes you feel welcome immediately!
What daily tools and platforms do you use in your blogging routine, for research, promotion, sharing and other:
My research is largely based on my own experiences but when I do need more information I will do a Google search and look for studies.
I promote my blog across social media and Pinterest using different tools. For Pinterest, I schedule using Tailwind. To stay active on Twitter I manually Tweet and also use a WordPress plugin called “Revive Old Posts”. When I publish a new blog post I will manually promote it to my Facebook page and post an image of my Pinterest pin to my Instagram stories. I plan my Instagram feed with Planoly.
I create my own Pinterest pins using Canva and/or PicMonkey depending on what I need to do. For my blog posts, I use a lot of stock photographs from Unsplash, Pixabay and Adobe Stock.
Tell us about your greatest blogging achievement to date?
After blogging for 9 months I have finally started to have a consistent income (though small) coming in. As a branch from my blogging, I offer people help with their social media graphic design and help with their Pinterest. This has helped me earn some money as my traffic grows.
I design social media covers/headers through Fiverr. My Pinterest services range from audits, pin designs, optimizations and complete management!
Where do you hope blogging will take you in the future?
My goal is to increase my income to that of a full-time job. It’s not quite there yet but I’m excited for what’s to come in 2019 (psst. it’s a course!).
I would love to offer 1:1 coaching someday and speak at a conference. However, I’ve learned, like many others, that blogging isn’t a sprint it’s a marathon.
