Please tell us a bit about your blog?

Hi I am Dawn.I’m happily married with 1 daughter She has her very own beauty blog! I am here to share my nail art designs and reviews on Beauty/make up/nails/fashion home/health. and all things girly! but most of all I am here to have fun, make new friends and a have a great blogging experience!

Q1. How and why did you get into blogging?

I started to practice doing my own nail art and people were commenting positively about my nails so my daughter who has her own beauty blog encouraged me to start my own blog as a hobby and have fun with it.and Im glad she did! Its one of the best decisions I’ve ever made and blogging has become a exciting part of my life. I’m constantly thinking of new and exciting things to write about and I love sharing my thoughts and reviews with so many like-minded people.

I love beauty/make up/nail art/fashion/home/health

Q2. Where do you get your writing inspiration from?

I would have to say my inspiration is from following other beauty bloggers and my Daughters blog who inspire me. Also watching my favourite beauty gurus on YouTube, they all have such great ideas and posts.

Q3. If you could offer some words of encouragement to a newbie or frustrated blogger, what would they be?

I would say I love the positivity feedback from people it makes it worth while.
I haven’t had any negative comments since I’ve started thankfully. However people are entitled to there opinion but if it is nasty or rude then I would simply delete the comment, remind yourself that other people’s negativity is their issue -do not let them make it yours.

If you are finding it a struggle look to your favourite bloggers for inspiration and comment back to them. But mostly have patience and don’t give up if it is something you really enjoy doing keep it as a hobby fun blog for you and your readers/followers no matter if its 2 or 1000 However if you want to just make money off your blog it then becomes job because then the fun goes out of it and it will become a chore.

Q4. What has changed most about blogging culture/the blogging industry since you started?

I feel the blogging industry has become a lot more stronger .  There are a lot more bloggers out there than there used to be, and the community is a lot more better than it was, everyone helps out and is polite to each other, there is also a lot of groups that offer support that you can join like facebook blogger groups.

Q5. What daily tools and platforms do you use in your blogging routine, for research, promotion, sharing and other?

I use my personal Facebook account to share my new blog posts with family and friends.
I also use facebook blogger groups to share and promote.
I comment on other bloggers posts daily to the posts that are of interest to me.
I sometimes contact certain companies to support my blog by sending me products to review to which I have had some positive responses back.

Q6. Do you understand your blog analytics, and how important do you think they are? Please share some best practice.

Not much haha I usually ask family or friends for advice .I have a computer techy friend who mainly helps if I need it.
I am fairly new to blogging so I have many support blogging friends/groups whom I can turn to also.

Q7. Where do you hope blogging will take you in the future?

I would like to think that I’d have made lots of great friends./followers, working with cool companies for reviews!
Learnt a lot along the way so I can help others, and hopefully inspired at least someone that if I can do it so can you!
Even if I only have a handful of followers in 5 years to me that’s still enough to keep my blog going because them few deserve my time and effort :)
