Please tell us a bit about your blog?
Plus size fashion and so much more! As a fat girl living in London I blog about everything that comes with being plus size. I have a comprehensive guide (over 40) of shops to show people that they do have fashion options, no matter their size. I am passionate about positive body image and I share links and resources to help people feel better about their body. I showcase plus size fashion lines, review fashion shops and point people in the direction of positive influences in the media.
Q1. How and why did you get into blogging?
I love reading blogs and felt I had something to say. I am very opinionated and was forever ranting about life on Facebook. I thought I would put these into actual articles and keep them altogether to create the ultimate fat girls guide online.
Q2. Where do you get your writing inspiration from?
From what I read in the media, from people I find influential and other bloggers. I write about the things that make me smile and the things that make me angry. From living life and from what I hear other people talking, raving and moaning about!
Q3. If you could offer some words of encouragement to a newbie or frustrated blogger, what would they be?
Don’t give up! You never know who is finding your words comforting or helpful. It can be hard to break into the blogging world but keep at it. Write about things you love and that way you’ll find it much easier to find things to write about!
Q4. What has changed most about blogging culture/the blogging industry since you started?
I am quite new to it, so nothing so far.
Q5. What daily tools and platforms do you use in your blogging routine, for research, promotion, sharing and other?
Twitter, Facebook, The News, Newspapers, Blogger, Instagram….
Q6. Do you understand your blog analytics, and how important do you think they are? Please share some best practice.
Yes. I always make sure I label blog posts properly for SEO and include keywords in my text. I track traffic sources on my blog so I can see what keywords are working well for me and my blog.
Q7. Where do you hope blogging will take you in the future?
Who knows – the possibilities are endless!
