Please tell us a bit about your blog?
I study exercise science at the University of Bridgeport and love sharing the power of food as medicine! I love discovering, reviewing & sharing eco-friendly, sustainable, organic products. I enjoy DIY projects, fashion, gardening, traveling, and being frugal. I also enjoy hosting giveaways and promoting products that I would personally use & think would be useful to my followers! My blog is filled with tips on staying nonGMO on a budget, life as a student, health, fitness & more!
Q1. How and why did you get into blogging?
I wanted to share the power of food as medicine and my passion for living a healthy lifestyle! I did not start out my blog with the intention of ‘blogging’ however! I wanted to make a handmade skincare line, when reality set in on all the money that would take I decided I had to put that dream on the back burner. I had already purchased a domain so I figured why not blog?! I slowly but surely got the hang of it and now I love blogging! I especially love reviewing products and hosting giveaways. I love sharing with others ecofriendly, sustainable, organic products that are great for families on any budget. As a college student I want to inspire young busy students to live a healthy lifestyle.
Q2. Where do you get your writing inspiration from?
The world! The good, the bad, and the ugly. I also get inspiration from my family, whom lives organic on a budget!
Q3. If you could offer some words of encouragement to a newbie or frustrated blogger, what would they be?
Stick with it! It takes time to establish yourself on this large network we call the internet :)
Q4. What has changed most about blogging culture/the blogging industry since you started?
Nothing really, I just got into blogging about a year ago!
Q5. What daily tools and platforms do you use in your blogging routine, for research, promotion, sharing and other?
Blogger (currently switching platforms, I was using Webs.com which is not the best blogging platform, it is more for businesses), Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Google Plus!
Q6. Do you understand your blog analytics, and how important do you think they are? Please share some best practice.
I am still in the middle of getting my blog readership increased. Right now, it is not too important to me because I focus on my posts, quality, and variety of information I have. I think that my readership will increase and I try not to worry about it!
Q7. Where do you hope blogging will take you in the future?
I hope blogging will help support me through school! I also hope to make lifelong connections and continue blogging as I continue my journey through life :)
