How and why did you get into blogging:
I first started my blog when I studied abroad in England in the spring of 2013. I picked back up blogging when I studied abroad again in Ireland in the summer of 2014. I blogged pretty consistently since then, but I finally switched over to WordPress and bought my own domain name to start blogging seriously when I moved to Atlanta at the beginning of 2016, and I’ve been going strong ever since then!
Where do you get your writing inspiration from?
My writing is inspired by the places I’ve visited and the experiences I’ve had. My blog allows me to have freedom in my writing and casually jot down my thoughts to share with other travellers.
If you could offer some words of encouragement to a newbie or frustrated blogger, what would they be?
Remember why you started blogging. Most of us start a blog because its fun and we enjoy writing blog posts, so don’t get caught up in the numbers and the followers and just focus on why you enjoy it in the first place.
What has changed most about blogging culture/the blogging industry since you started?
The way social media sharing is evolving for getting your content seen, and what worked for your blog a year ago might not work the same now.
What daily tools and platforms do you use in your blogging routine, for research, promotion, sharing and other:
I use WordPress for my blogging platform, Hootsuite for scheduling posts on Twitter, and Canva for creating Pinterest cover images.
Tell us about your greatest blogging achievement to date?
I’ve been asked to contribute guest posts on others’ travel sites, and I am a regular contributor for a Southern travel website.
Where do you hope blogging will take you in the future?
I hope to turn my blog into more of a full-time business that can support more traveling and sharing more travel tips with like-minded travelers.
