Please tell us a bit about your blog?
Books and Beauty are always a weakness, so are devouring ice-cream cones on weekends and just being with a dozen dogs in the middle of nowhere. Raisie Speaks is all about rediscovering journeys through pages, experiences and other scraps and snaps in the eyes of a kid-at-heart.
Q1. How and why did you get into blogging?
I first started blogging to document the books I read and also maintain an e-diary. However, it has evolved into a book and beauty blog and occasional travel blog
Q2. Where do you get your writing inspiration from?
I see people around me and also observe the activity online. But there are events in my personal life that I would like to share as well.
Q3. If you could offer some words of encouragement to a newbie or frustrated blogger, what would they be?
Blog as often as you could and share your story! There will be ups and downs. but maintain your own unique voice and time will reward your efforts.
Q4. What has changed most about blogging culture/the blogging industry since you started?
Back in 2005 when I started, a blog meant an online diary. These days, it’s so diverse and many niches have opened up, it’s also becoming highly competitive.
Q5. What daily tools and platforms do you use in your blogging routine, for research, promotion, sharing and other?
I always trust Facebook, Twitter, and GFC + Bloglovin are a good way to monitor stats.
Q6. Do you understand your blog analytics, and how important do you think they are? Please share some best practice.
I rely on my visits per posts and look at the keywords that have hits. Also, rename your photos or label them. These help even in SEO.
Q7. Where do you hope blogging will take you in the future?
I wish to be recognized as a green beauty blogger and book reviewer for contemporary literature. I’m not yet there but I do believe that I could be someday.
