Brand or business name:
Blaze On (Blaze On Fairy Lights & Candles)
Please tell us about the product or company you would like the blogger’s help with?
Blaze On is a family-run lighting brand started by haute couture colourist, Lisa Durr and ex West End performer, Blaise Durr. They collaborate with a large network of ethically focused rural artisans to bring forth the 400+ designs in the Blaze On Fairy Light & Candle range. Our initiative not only helps to keep communities together but actively makes sure that traditional craft skills continue to evolve with the new generations and reach a wider audience. In the 10+ years the artistic collective has been running Lisa has been pleased to see many success stories and have shed the magic and beauty they create!
Blaze On light strings are handcrafted from ethically crafted and sustainably sourced materials and can take anything up to 3 days to shape. Each design spends almost 18 months in development before being showcased in our stores.
What is the blogging assignment?
Choice of two angles :
1) Independent product review of fairy lights from our range (stock permitting) with optional extra of Blaze On providing additional product for a competition.
2) Brand Story overview from tiny candle stall in Portobello to an established fairy light & candle brand with a flagship London store and product showcased in Harrods & Liberty. As we rebrand towards Christmas this could be an interesting focus to tackle for the right blogger.
In in both cases links need to be provided to the Blaze On website . We can also chat about possibly integrating a giveaway/competition where suitable.
What type of blogs are you looking for?
A Home Decor, Product, Craft, Gifting, Women’s, Ethical, Mummy , Events, Catering or Student blog should work well. Bloggers that are good at finding that extra special magical, human kernel of a story would be especially well suited.
We are open to new bloggers but would prefer established bloggers with an ethical focus.
This is an example of stats from a successful blogger we worked with (this level or stronger would be optimal)
(though not necessarily deal breaker ):
- 6000 visits per month to my site
- 2700 Twitter followers
- Klout score: 57
- Google Page Rank 3
It would be great if you could indicate applicable figures for your blog where known.
Preferred geographic location of the blogger:
How might you compensate the blogger?
Getting to keep the product
How else might you compensate the blogger?
We may provided product for a competition or where appropriate look at an affiliate relationship. We may also, in some cases be prepared to drive traffic back to independent reviews/articles/blogs via our social media. Though we feel it is more engaging/effective for bloggers to take their own imagery – we can provide images for use alongside the review if required.
