The Joy of Plants
Please tell us about the product or company you would like the blogger’s help with?
The Joy of Plants is an initiative by the Flower Council of Holland to help make plants special again for people worldwide. We have just conducted some research into the UK’s plant habits, which revealed that, although the majority of us will remember to complete a tick-list of chores before we go on holiday, such as clearing out the fridge (57%) and even checking every socket in the house to make sure it’s switched off (65%), just a third take any measures to keep their plants in decent condition – and nearly a fifth (17%) admit to completely forgetting they even own plants at all. As a result, over £8 million worth of plants are thrown out per year in Britain.
Fear not! TheJoyofPlants.co.uk has commissioned the UK’s most loved gardening expert and TV presenter, Charlie Dimmock, to give our plant pals another chance at life, with the launch of the UK’s first holiday for houseplants. Launching 4th July 2014 for one week only, The Houseplant Hotel has been specially created to keep your plants pampered during your summer escape, and to raise awareness of the issues around Britain’s foliage failures.
