Brand or business name:

Scotts Miracle-Gro

Please tell us about the product or company you would like the blogger’s help with?

Scotts Miracle-Gro® is the world’s largest marketer of branded consumer lawn and garden products. The brand is currently running a campaign to deconstruct the elitism often associated with horticulture and encourage non-gardeners to revamp their green spaces with little time, effort and cost. The brand have created a tongue-in-cheek manual to aid these non-gardeners – The Extremely Busy and Important Person’s Guide to Gardening – which we are looking to promote, alongside three core products – EverGreen Complete 4-in-1 Lawn Feed, Miracle-Gro All Purpose Plant Feed and Weedol Pathclear Weedkiller.

What is the blogging assignment?

We are looking for bloggers to promote our tongue-in-cheek manual to gardening – the Extremely Busy and Important Person’s Guide to Gardening – in return for the three core products – EverGreen Complete 4-in-1 Lawn Feed, Miracle-Gro All Purpose Plant Feed and Weedol Pathclear Weedkiller. The bloggers would feature the products in a blog post on alternative, quick-fix and cost-effective ways to garden/create green space indoors. For this, we encourage the bloggers to be creative and utilise methods such as upcycling – planting in old Wellington boots.

What type of blogs are you looking for?

We are looking for a variety of bloggers – it is not essential that the blogs have an existing interest in gardening, since the campaign is based on encouraging non-gardeners, although keen gardeners are not discouraged. Blogs with interest in DIY, home & interiors and general lifestyle are ideal.

Preferred geographic location of the blogger:
