What is the blogging assignment?
We’re looking to work with a handful of high-end, lifestyle bloggers to promote the idea of getting out of the city and on to the water. Drawing on our sailing heritage and nautical inspired style, we want to take you on a Helly Hansen adventure, inviting you to become immersed in a luxury, marine inspired lifestyle! In other words, we want you to fall in love with sailing, get out on the water, train with some of our ambassadors and take your readers on your journey with you.
Starting at Cowes Week 2015 – the UK’s biggest leisure sailing regatta – we’d love to welcome you on board our chartered yacht, Crusade, to witness the buzz you get from watching, racing and living in the sailing world. You’ll spend the weekend sipping champagne in Cowes with the HH team, whilst watching the sailing and enjoying the party atmosphere. Cowes Week runs from 8-15th August, and we’d be looking to go out from 8-9th August 2015.
Towards the end of the year, we’ll officially launch ‘On The Horizon’ to the press and public, with a launch party in Canary Wharf, London and introduce you to the rest of the team. (Date TBC)
Then next year, it’s really down to you. We will help you every step of the way as you embark on your HH sailing journey – we’ll fund sailing courses, so that you can learn to sail like a pro, we’ll also organise 1:1 sessions with our HH ambassadors. We’ll kit you out from head to toe, in the latest technical sailing kit, as well as giving you HH lifestyle clothing and shoes so you look and feel the part! Then in August 2016, Cowes Week, we’ll enter you as a team (of HH crew), into a race for you to actually compete!
So what do we want in return? We want you to totally fall in love with sailing and share your journey with your readers – tell them all about your experiences, the training and how you’re finding it. We’d also like to send you new kit so that you can review it. Helly Hansen is also prepared to pay you/advertise with your blog if this is something you’d like to discuss.
