Every year a staggering 5,000 young people become homeless due to relationships at home breaking down. But sadly they are just the tip of the iceberg, with many households struggling behind closed doors with conflict, arguments, and fall-outs.

In our National Survey one in four young people told us they thought about running away on a monthly basis. The Cyrenians’ Scottish Centre for Conflict Resolution (SCCR) was set up to help address this.

The SCCR is  a national resource promoting and supporting best practice in conflict resolution, mediation and early intervention.

We are helping young people and their families seek help before it reaches crisis point through our national Stop.Talk.Listen campaign, innovative series of training, seminars, and resource-rich website.

What is the blogging assignment?

We want to spread the word about the national campaign #StopTalkListen to help families and would welcome help to do this. We can provide background information and images.

In addition, we want to let practitioners and professionals across all fields know about the range of resources on the website, and the training programme.

How might you compensate the blogger?

As a charity we unfortunately can’t financially compensate bloggers; however we will thank them for their part in helping young people resolve conflict before it reaches breaking point.

How else might you compensate the blogger?

We will thank them and share their blog with our followers on social media and on the SCCR website.

When would you like bloggers to complete and publish your blogging assignment by?

1-2 weeks after receiving the product/item to review or email agreement to proceeded.
