With back to school season well and truly upon us we all try to create the healthiest yet nutritional lunches for our children.
Even if they’re not in school, from the moment they start eating solids we try to give them the healthiest meals possible.
We were sent some easy peel mandarins which are low in calories, fat and an excellent provider of vitamins and minerals. Better still they help to provide children with fibre, folate, vitamin C, potassium, calcium and magnesium.
Easy peelers are a great source of water in fact they are about 87% water.
My daughter likes to be independent, she likes to do everything herself and if she can’t then she will throw a tantrum! Oranges, as you can imagine are a major hurdle for her, that is until we tried these! after starting her off she can peel her orange herself… Music to an independent girls ears!
We took a trip to our local Arboretum, the weather wasn’t the best but Shaniah was running around like a mad one. We spent a good few hours running around in and out of the long line of trees, running through leaves and hugging trees – even making leaf angels!
All this running around meant that we were in need of some refuelling so we sat down and tucked into our picnic – of course our easy peelers were on the menu! These oranges provided Shaniah (and us) with enough energy to go back and kick up some more leaves.
I love how easy these oranges are, meaning that little ones at school will no longer need to ask a teacher to undo them or worse still leave them uneaten in their lunch boxes. My brother (12) manages to grab one for his walk to school every morning so everyone can really enjoy the benefits from these oranges.
Should you wish to get your hands on these awesome Easy Peelers, they are hitting our supermarket shelves from September to November – Perfect for the back to school season!
