Places to go in the South West this Christmas.
With Christmas well and truly here places all over the country are holding exciting activities and things for all the family to enjoy. I have searched far and wide for this years very best and have managed to squeeze them all into one convenient post.
Longleat Santa Train. 5th November – 31st Jan.
Jump aboard the train and head down to Santa’s grotto to meet the Jolly fella himself! The train takes you past the lake and then the scenery transforms before your eyes into a wonderful snowy scene where Santa is waiting patiently to hear what your youngsters want! If that isn’t enough, if your little angels have been good this year there may even be a present waiting with their name on it! We went last year and are booked to go this Sunday too. Longleat Festival of Light. 5th November – 7th January.
Last year was the first year that we visited the festival of light but it is certainly something that we have now added into our family Christmas traditions. The lantern displays are truly breathtaking, they are so good that you end up forgetting that they are actually lanterns!
