Recently I got to enjoy a ‘You Time’ appointment at my nearest Clinique counter. This is where I discovered the Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush, and decided to go back and purchase one! I’m forever heavily sceptical about introducing new products in to my skincare routine – even if it is just a tool – as the smallest change can send my skin off on a tangent.
I’ve been using the brush once a day for 30 seconds (it turns itself off so no need to count!) in the evening after taking off the top layer of makeup using a cleansing water. I’ve been using clinique’s liquid facial soap, which I apply directly to the brush. I add a small amount of water to the brush before use to dampen it, and then buff the product in in circular motions. This brush doesn’t have a rotating head, but that more than works for me, as I’ve found it’s far less abrasive.
For the first few days I was a little nervous having heard a mixture of spot stories before hand. Personally, my skin felt really refreshed, and clean. My chin did have a little break out, but I was warned this would happen – and is infact completely normal! After around four days of use my skins surface started to look a lot more even and my pours noticeably reduced. My skin looks clearer and spots are healing quicker. It’s also quite a fun product to add in to your cleansing routine to spice it up a little. To finish, then follow the next two steps – Clarifying Lotion, Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel.
After use I rinse the brush off and make sure all of the product has been cleared off the brush head, before taking off the excess water with a towel. I then leave the brush to dry naturally – only
