Colour choices can be a tricky affair, often resulting in us choosing tried and & tested colourways (if only to remain in a functioning relationship). If Spring means tackling some DIY and decorating for you, then check out my top colour combinations that will help you decide on some fresh shades. Colour pairings that you may not previously have considered, are big news in interiors and design, which will you choose?
PINK & GREEN
‘Grink’ or ‘Preen’ as I like to call it…this duo are not obvious bedfellows but take a look, their appeal is HUGE. Easy to achieve and definitely born from last year’s obsession with houseplants and jungle prints. Go bold with some wild fabric with pink wall paints or take baby steps and start with some cacti and cushions and your existing shades. You can do this.
Pink & Green…..its going to be everywhere this year !

NAVY & BLUSH
So smart and elegant, this twosome is a statement of contemporary cool. Often chosen for its practicality, navy blue’s solidity is offset by the delicate, soft nature of blush – together they are instantly cool and modern. Pat yourself on the back you hipster, you’ve nailed it.

Colour maths : Blue + Pink = a total winner.
CORAL & TEAL
Ok, not for the timid, this colour coupling is quite punchy (and probably my favourite). Less harsh than orange and challenging than red, coral is uplifting and bright on any given day. With the colour Teal as its foil, it stops short tropical theme-bar territory. Get the accessories right and you have just accomplished something pretty special. Easy when you know how, right?

PALE BLUE & PEACH
Colours, like shapes, go in and out of mode but this pairing is becoming a firm favourite as the weather improves. It makes me think instantly of Miami and that awesome, off the wall, fresh style it embodies. Sky blue and (whisper it) peach, may not be everyone’s cuppa; but you could always try it in a small space like a bathroom or utility or a kids room if you wanted to dip your toe in before committing. I think its very calming and quite gentle so go on, feel the fear and DO IT ANYWAY!

This is just peachy…. ( sorry, couldn’t help myself)
Yes ok, technically its NOT a peach but its peachy coloured… and it IS an utterly gorgeous pairing
