Please tell us about the product or company you would like the blogger’s help with?
Dry eye syndrome, otherwise known as dry eye disease, affects one in four people in the UK. Most people don’t even know they have it. People that suffer with dry eyes don’t make enough basal (lubricating) tears, or the ones they do make are of poor quality. This causes the eye to become dry and irritated. It can also cause the eye to produce watery type of tears, which only help for a short period, which can leave the eye uncomfortable and gritty. Other symptoms include blurred vision, red eyes, pain, gritty sore eyes, discharge, and sore eye lids. Additional general health conditions can cause dry eye such as autoimmune disease or hormonal changes. There has also been a significant increase of dry eye due to increase use of screens and wearing masks during the pandemic.
