“You are the bows from which your child as living arrows are sent forth – Kahlil Gibran”
It has been a few weeks now since I last took part in Living Arrows. Life has been pretty busy for us all and to be perfectly honest my head just wasn’t in the right frame to do any blog posts. We took a much needed break and it is fair to say we are back!
This week has been a pretty plain week. Shaniah spent the majority of the week poorly, leaving us unable to do much except cuddle on the sofa and watch hours of Cbeebies and films.
Once she was back to her usual bouncy self she asked if we could take a ride on the bus, what a random yet cool idea to do?!
Once we got off the bus Shaniah saw a pile of leaves that of course naturally any child would want to jump in – not just children I still love kicking up the leaves!
Later in the week we also decided to take a trip to my Nan’s. Shaniah asked if she could take her baby and pram so she did.
…We the took a trip to the park where Shaniah decided to show us that fear really doesn’t phase her.
Looking back through the week doing this post really made me realise that one of these days she isn’t going to want to do all this. One day she will be too cool to ride the bus with her mum. She wont need cuddles on the sofa when she is poorly and she certainly wont push a doll in a pushchair in a few years to come, That truly makes my heart sink, why do they have to grow up?
