You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth – Kahlil Gibran

Welcome back to another week of linking up with Living Arrows, hosted by Donna from What The Redhead Said. We are loving doing this weekly link up and have been doing so now for 6 months! It’s so lovely to look back on the week, something I didn’t really do until we joined this linky.

It is October already! How fast has this year gone? It’s scary! We’ve been looking forward to October for a while now because we are going on two holidays one with each side of our families – we love nothing more than spending quality family time together and that is what we did last week…

Autumn is here!

Ryan spent a few days at home this week due to the weather not playing ball for him to work outside. It was a welcome change but with the weather being so horrible we had to spend our days inside, it didn’t matter too much however, for we got to spend quality family time watching films under blankets – Autumn is here!

Sunday we decided to take a trip to our local arboretum. Shaniah has reached the stage where she loves to jump in every puddle she comes across and with the autumn leaves falling to the ground she’s grown increasingly interested in playing with them too. What better way to make the most of her interests than to take her to a place where there are tree’s a plenty?

Luckily, the weather held out long enough for us to enjoy a good couple of hours walking through the trees, I was surprised just how many trees there actually are here. Trees of all different shapes and sizes towering over us as we walked between them.

Shaniah had the best time jumping in puddles that even the whole Peppa Pig family would be proud of.
