Green bottle, green name, white… perfume. Having several loved and popular perfume in the Prive range, Armani has now the courage to launch a very provocative edition as well, the love or hate type – Vert Malachite – which for some means the most beautiful flowers, immaculate and bedazzling, and for others… faint.

If you don’t like Nuda Nasomatto, A la Nuit or Heeley Bubblegum Chic… you’d better stay away from this one. The clear mission of Vert Malachite is to overwhelm you with a giant bouquet made out of all sorts of flowers, truly “illegal” types. The lily, considered a symbol of purity, I discover that in this perfume, with surprise, to be honest, it has some dirty tones, hidden under folds; the jasmine permanently hypnotizes me, releasing the most powdery white floral scent ever capable by such a note, and the ylang maintains the general euphoria with a very creamy tone from behind.

The miraculous part is that, in spite of its weight and opulence, its composition keeps a dignified and elegant allure, and it never seems too much, in any of its phases. It is a linear perfume, there are no new notes on the way, as it begins and ends on a floral note. But, if it is a bit sharper in the beginning and slightly green toward its base, it becomes more and more creamy. How can I remain immune and unimpressed in front of this perfume, not just for the white flowers but for its whole body, as this is the kind of perfume that entwines the force and challenge with simple elegance and intelligence?

Wow factor: it is incredible how Vert Malachite can smell more licentiously than the backstage of the Mötley Crüe band and, at the same time, more elegant than a classic aldehydic discreetly hidden behind a pair of small pearl earrings. It is the perfume that gives you EVERYTHING. The image I like to associate it with: Sharon Stone wearing the white dress in the famous interrogatory scene in Basic Instinct. And about its performances, as well, only positive comments.
