I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!
I had a lovely day with my family, playing games, and eating all manner of unhealthy foods, but my holiday eating habits are not what I’m here talk about.
My April Sephora Play! is here!
After getting my first one last month I couldn’t wait to get the next one. So when a cute little black and white striped box showed up my door I immediately opened it and started getting photos for this post.
This month’s theme is Step it Up!, and is all about upping your beauty routine.
To be brutally honest I don’t like the bag this time at all, the picture on the front sort of unnerves me somehow. I mean it can’t just be me that thinks she looks sinister, right?
The paper that describes the products and how to use them it again filled with fun product related puns like “the prime it now”, “see you exfoliator” and “the liner things in life”. On the other side( which I forgot to take a photo of) has a cute step by step skin care guide and why each is important.
Let’s get to what’s inside, shall we?
The First product I pulled out of the bag was the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream. I rubbed a little of this on the back of my hand, and oh my goodness it feels amazing! It disappeared into my skin and left it feeling like I had just used primer on it. I’m definitely trying this out tonight.
Next up is the Kate Somerville Exfolikate Intensive Treatment, I received one of those little one time use samples awhile back and it seemed really nice I’m looking forward to getting to use this a bit more. All I can tell you about is so far it that it’s very green, and it says that it gives you brighter smoother skin, and a just walked out of a spa look.
I’ve had this Smashbox Photo Finish Primer befor a thought it wasn’t worth the 2o something I paid for it, but it’s always nice to have a smaller product for travel.
I’m really intrigued by this Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliner. Eyeliner is always a tricky one for me, but this one look really nice, I just swatched it on the back of my hand and its beautifully creamy, and doesn’t like to wash off.
I’m looking forward to trying the Sephora Collection Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover because it’s the first Sephora collection product I’ve gotten. This worked really well on the before mentioned waterproof eyeliner, completely removing it with just a couple of wipes with a tissue.
The perfume sample this month is the Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau De Toilette. I love every one of the Daisy collection that I have tried and this one is on different, it has a lovely light scent with notes of vanilla, wild strawberries, and jasmine.
Last month I didn’t get a chance to use my Play! card and I don’t have plans to get to Sephora until mid-May, but I love the idea behind it.
So far I’m really impressed with this months box, and I’m super excited to get to using each and every one of these products.
What are your thoughts on this months box?
