As peak camping season is upon us, I thought it was a good opportunity to put together a list of the best campsites across the UK (and one in France!). I decided the best way to compile my list was to ask my fellow outdoor bloggers for their recommendations, afterall, if anyone is going to know a good campsite, it’s going to be a crack squad of bloggers.
“So as a ‘rough it’ type camper, did I enjoy glamping at Cledan Valley? I absolutely loved it and would go again in a heartbeat. I may even go as far as saying that I’m a glamping convert!”
Shell from Camping with Style “can’t get enough of the stunning Welsh coastal campsite, Cae Du Farm. Perched on the edge of a cliff, this chilled out, wild feeling camp site affords stunning views of over Cardigan Bay, where we regularly watch dolphins and seals swim by. Not recommended for very young children, campfires are encouraged and this is still our favourite campsite in the UK!”
Elliott from See Outside has opted for Treheli Farm near Abersoch. “Located a few miles away from the crowds of Abersoch and overlooking Hell’s Mouth, Treheli Farm is idyllic. Unspoilt views, relaxed rules and a sense of wild camping makes this site my go-to when surfing at Hells. The facilities are very basic so be prepared!”
