On Tuesday 19th September, Ryan and I were Invited down to The Cotham Arms in Bristol.
The Cotham Arms was very easy to get to, however there is no on site parking although that isn’t a major issue as there is quite a lot of on street parking situated around the pub.
Situated in Kingsdown, The Cotham Arms is a simple 4 minute drive from Bristol town centre or a 21 minute walk. The Cotham arms is a modern pub which specialises in a wide variety of alcohol and British cheese and charcuterie. Opening in mid August, The Cotham Arms is a very new social pub with a twist and also great potential.
It certainly has the wow factor!
Upon entering, you are welcomed by the most warm staff you have ever met, they are quick to greet you and hold a chat, they certainly make you feel welcome and that is what you need!
One thing that I noticed which I thought was great was the fact that dogs are welcome in The Cotham Arms. You very rarely get that these days.
The Cotham Arms has a beautiful Shabby chic kind of decor which makes the place extremely relaxing. The Perfect place to kick back and enjoy your choice from their wide range of alcoholic beverages, hot and cold drinks and food!
There was a lot of choice.
With our stomachs rumbling it was time to choose what we wanted to eat and boy was there a lot to choose from – it all sounded so yummy!
We decided to have a meat and Cheese platter first. I am usually quite a fussy eater but I absolutely loved every single thing on this platter – especially the bread… My word the bread was the most fluffy, light bread I have ever had! (Ryan is still talking about that bread now!)
After we demolished the platter we moved on to sandwiches, I went for A BLT and Ryan went for a toasted classic croque which is ham and cheese. Had we of known that the sandwiches were going to be as filled as they were we probably wouldn’t have been pigs and ordered them too as the platter does a perfect job of filling you up!
Wide range of Alcohol to choose from.
Open from 12pm to 11pm The Cotham Arms is the perfect atmosphere for lunch out with family or mates and also a nice quiet drink with your mates in the evenings.
Ryan and I are already planning to come back up once they open their garden which is sure to be the icing on the cake for this already awesome place.
There is an upcoming event being hosted by The Cotham Arms this coming Thursday which has Bucks Fizz!!
Thank you so much to The Cotham Arms for inviting us down to take a look. We absolutely loved everything about our time here and we vow to be back soon!
