Happy Friday everyone!
I thought I’d do a list of my recommended TV shows as I love finding out what everyone else is watching. I don’t have as much time to watch TV as I used to and really struggle to keep up with things. My partner and I download a lot of series so we can watch them when we have the time.
Rob and I love movie nights. We have a 55 inch TV mounted on the wall with a surround sound system (I think that’s what it’s called?!) because when we snuggle up to watch a film or series together we like the experience to be epic. To get the best experience for your cosy nights in, look at the HD televisions by Panasonic as the quality is amazing! Also you can’t go wrong with a chunky sofa blanket, especially as it’s getting colder now. And don’t forget the snacks of course!
Rob has a bit more time at home than I do so has more time to squeeze in some extra series. I’ve caught a few glimpses of The Handmaids Tale & Fargo but haven’t managed to watch the whole series but Rob insisted they are worth watching.
In no order whatsoever, here is what we’ve been watching over the past few months (or more)..
Series 1 kept constantly surprising me. It starts off with a woman who is living a seemingly normal with her partner and child, when she commits an unexpected and brutal murder in front of many witnesses. Her actions came out of nowhere and of course her partner and the witnesses were in total shock. After she is questioned, she has no idea why she done it or what prompted her and she has no background of mental health issues. It’s a completely random act that even she can’t explain. Until a detective befriends her and delves right into the case, uncovering the horrible truth about why this happened, and the killer becomes the victim. I watched this series within several days as I was completely addicted to it. Just when you think it can’t get any more interesting, BAM!
Series 2 has just been released and I’ve only seen the first episode so far and I’m completely hooked again!
I love the two main actors in Ghosted so I already had an idea that I would like this series. It starts off as two ordinary guys that end up working in an underground investigative service trying to figure out the paranormal activity that’s been happening. This series is a cheesy comedy so expect the usual over the top drama, but I found it really funny.
Each episode of Black Mirror is a different story and if I’m honest, they’re all a complete head fuck. They are amazing and there are so many twists and turns throughout each episode. You literally don’t know what’s going to happen next at any point which is what I love about it. If I had to pick a favourite episode I would choose ‘White Bear’ (image featured above) I was so confused through the whole episode but knew it was leading to something good. The end of the episode completely blew my mind and I did not see it coming at all. To be fair, every episode leaves you mind blown and wandering what’s real and what isn’t. Black Mirror is phenomenal.
If you haven’t heard of Stranger Things then where have you been? Absolutely amazing series and unlike anything I’ve ever seen before! The children acting are absolutely incredible, and every episode I watched seemed like it took me into another world or the ‘upside down’. The series is about a young boy who disappears, and shows how his mother and friends with the help of a police officer try to find him, and experience some strange forces along the way.
A theme park world where the human appearing hosts are robots but impossible to tell apart from the real humans. As the series goes on, the robots become smarter and start to realise that they are not real people and what they thought is their life is nothing but memories that have been programmed in. Robots like you’ve never seen them before.
