What is the blogging assignment?
We are looking for bloggers who have older relatives or loved ones who would be willing to help us raise awareness of the confusion around weight loss in later life. The media is full of messages about healthy eating, but for some people who may be vulnerable to malnutrition, traditional ‘healthy eating’ advice will not apply. One in ten people aged 65+ is at risk of malnutrition, so this is a serious problem that needs to be addressed.
Can you share thoughts about how confusing this is, particularly during lockdown?
This is a social purpose campaign but there is a significant opportunity for national media exposure.
What type of blogs are you looking for?
Supportive blogs that provide factual information but that are non-scary and just help people be more aware.
Either from bloggers who have older loved ones, or alternatively from bloggers who regularly post about an illness that might make them more vulnerable, e.g. cancer.
