I thought I would show you all the ways I help myself, fill up with positive energy.
This post is inspired by me watching The secret last night. I thought I would do a post on all the ways I have put the secret into my life. If you would like to watch it, it is on Netflix. I’ll link it here: https://www.netflix.com/search?q=the%20s&jbv=70063484&jbp=3&jbr=0
Hello Lovelies, today I just sat down and felt like writing!! Which I haven’t felt in a while… Sometimes you don’t realise but you surround yourself with low energy things and then you have a bad day and realise you can change it around. It is time to focus on all the good things in the world. I guess we all don’t realise it, we get fed from social media and the newspapers so much negative stuff. You have to pull yourself away from that all and focus on the good.
This weekend I have decided to just take some time out for me and not listen to what is going on in other people’s lives. It’s not selfish, it’s necessary! I need to stick to my boundaries and do whats best for me.
So for anyone reading this, take some time out for just you! Don’t feel bad. You don’t need to take on anyone else’s problems. I have learnt that I need to put myself first, otherwise my mental health is bad. So I thought I would list things that help bring my energy up, after I have been drained from it.
So here are 10 ways to fill your energy up.
1. Being in nature.
This helps me massively even if it’s just sitting in the garden or going for a walk, It helps me to be just be calm and in the moment.
2. Soothing music.
Sometimes I just sit here and listen to relaxing music, like rain sounds or waves, meditation music, jazz, classical. I never thought I would say, I like jazz or classical but it actually really calms me down and it just raises my energy. Like sitting here writing this now I have some soft music playing in the background.
3. Being alone.
Sometimes I just need to be alone to recharge. I love the quote “You can’t pour from an empty cup” which is so true! Always put yourself first. I find the more I am on my own the more creativity I have. Which is needed when you blog.
4. Cut down on unhealthy distractions.
I think we all have some unhealthy distractions, some of the time they can be positive distractions, but most of the time they’re not. So I wouldn’t say completely get rid of all unhealthy distractions just have some balance. I like watching love island, you will know if you see my twitter. But Sometimes it can just make my energy go low, so every now and then I will skip it and watch it the next day, when I feel more calm.
5. Deleting apps on your phone.
Most weekends I have started to delete most of the apps that I use all week like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and just be more in the moment. I have started to feel like I need to do the same with whats app. It just clears my head so much. I would definitely recommend doing it, even if you only do it for a few hours.
6. Get a massage or pedicure.
These things can be quite expensive, but so worth it! I haven’t had either done in a while, but I definitely feel like I need one of these soon!
7. Sit there and visualize.
I love to do this right before I go to sleep and I lay there, thinking of what I would like my life to look like.
8. Vision board/Mood board.
I have always wanted to start one of these, it is definitely something I am going to be doing in the next couple of weeks.
9. Listing all the things you are grateful for.
I use to do this a few years ago, most nights I would write down three things I was grateful for that day. I have just recently started doing this again.
10. Read read read!
Find all the good books, just go to where ever draws your attention most.
I hope you like posts like this! I want to do a lot more about The Secret and The Law of attraction.
Let me know down below if you have any book recommendations to.
Love Kirsty x
