I recently asked some of the best bloggers around for their recommendations on what to watch next (having just finished Sons of Anarchy for the 3rd time!)
Here are their top picks, I hope you enjoy them.
Swallows and Amazons on Amazon Prime. It’s about kids that go camping. Based on children’s books. Easy watching and enjoyable – www.mummythatsme.com Cable Girls . A Netflix Original Series from Spain and dubbed into English (normally I’d switch off but was hooked after the first episode). It’s based in 1920s Madrid in a telephone exchange just as the telephone service was bring introduced to Spain.
The story follows the lives of four young women each with their own past and present demons to overcome. www.boorooandtiggertoo.com Peaky Blinders on Netflix – if you love a good gangster type series. Big Little Lies with Nicole Kidman – fantastic viewing on Sky www.familytravelwithellie.com The Killing on Netflix had us hooked. I wish they had made more series. www.emmareed.net House of Cards on Netflix. I’ve loved it for ages but recently introduced my husband to it (I wanted to watch it again) I was worried because he NEVER binge watches anything. He is as hooked as me. He keeps asking if we can watch just one more episode… errr yeah! www.winnettes.com Designated Survivor on Netflix. A Kiefer Sutherland extravaganza. Absolutely brilliant, with a strong female character in the lead cast. www. ponderingparenthood.com Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt on Netflix. Definitely worth a watch if your looking for something easy to watch, bizarre and totally hilarious. www.whimsicalmumblings.co.uk Line of Duty and Happy Valley . Both brilliant British police dramas that had me utterly hooked
Ackley bridge – it’s a new series just come out a little bit like Waterloo road
I’m also going to add these to the list as I’ve loved them…
On Amazon Prime:
Breaking Bad (obviously)
Grace & Frankie
Brothers & Sisters
Hope you find something good to watch from this list, and if you have any recommendations PLEASE add them in a comment below, I’m always looking for
